Silkydo started with a simple observation, made over more than a decade of living in China, the biggest risk in importing isn’t price — it’s distance. Distance from the factory floor. Distance from the language. Distance from what’s actually being loaded into your container. 

Our founder, Dr. Anass Anabir, arrived in China as a student and stayed to master the system from the inside — earning a PhD from Zhejiang Gongshang University in 2020, being recognized as foreign talent by the Zhejiang Provincial Government, and building years of hands-on experience in international trade in the middle of the world’s largest manufacturing ecosystem. Along the way, one pattern kept repeating: importers worldwide — were getting mediocre prices, unverified suppliers, and no one physically checking their goods before shipment. Not because they were careless, but because they had no one they could trust on the ground.
